Shortly after, I graduated with my Masters in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School. I am currently working in research and I am passionate about being a mentor because I had so many great mentors throughout my academic success.

My name is Ceilidh Smith and I am a recent graduate of Macalester College where I majored in Biology with a Biochemistry emphasis. I currently work in clinical research, while simultaneously completing my degree for a Master’s in Public Health at Brown University. I have received a lot of guidance to get to where I am today, and nothing would make me happier than becoming a mentor to pay it forward!

Hi! My name is Jasmine Candelaria. I currently live in NYC as a paralegal and yoga/pilates instructor. I graduated with my BA in 2023, majoring in sociology and religious studies. I am excited to be a mentor because I love the idea of being there for students the way that my mentors were there for me. I want everyone to be able to accomplish their dreams and wherever that may lead them.

ABDUL ABUBAKARI
My name is Abdul Abubakari, a recent graduate from Middlebury College. I majored in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with a minor in global health. I currently work as a research associate at Boston Children’s Hospital looking into intricacies of hematopoietic stem cells and therapeutic effects of small molecules on sickle cell disease. I had and still have some great mentors who helped guide my academic trajectory and I would love nothing more than to do same for people like myself.

My name is Daisy Zapata and I am a recent graduate from Quinnipiac University where I majored in Biology and minored in Global Public Health. I am currently working as an Asylum Seeker Advocate and Community Health Worker as I am pursuing my Masters of Science in Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I am eager to be a mentor because I know how difficult it can be to navigate academia and would love to share some knowledge Ive gained along the way!

Hi! My name is Olivia Bukuru, first generation graduated with my bachelors from Grand Canyon University with a major in psychology with a minor in counseling. Shortly after COVID-19 happened but that didn’t stop me from obtaining my Masters in Addiction counseling. I am currently working as a licensed therapist and I am excited to be a mentor because I want to share my story and experience with young people in my community. I hope that my story will inspire them to continue their education.
